Alaska Airlines is having a flash sale Tuesday that brings the cost of a flight down to as low as $29 for a one-way ticket and $57 for a roundtrip ticket.
The deal is only available through 11:59pm PDT tonight and includes flights around the continental United States as well as Mexico, Alaska, and Costa Rica.
The cities available and their prices depend a bit on where you’re flying from. For instance, from San Francisco, the lowest one-way fare is a $39 flight to Los Angeles.
Flights have to be taken between September 17th and December 18th, 2019 and by and large only work for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
The cheap seats are also “Saver” seats which, if you’re not a regular Alaska flyer, means that you are going to be sitting in the back of the plane. Depending on how many people have already purchased tickets, that might also mean you’re sitting in a middle seat in the back of the plane, although the airline will allow you to select a seat provided all of the allotted “Saver” seats haven’t been taken. Unlike other “Basic Economy” fares, you’ll also be able to carry on a bag and a personal item, but you will board in the last group and if you have status you won’t be eligible for any upgrades.
A Main cabin fare is typically only priced around $10-$20 more (although sometimes $40+), and will give you a significantly biggest selection of seats, so that might be worth a look, especially if you’re traveling with others.
