HBO is releasing the next episode of its three Sunday night shows early, at the start of the Labor Day weekend. Each show will be available to stream on HBO Go and HBO Now at its usual airtime, but on Friday night instead of Sunday. (The shows will air on the cable network on Sunday as usual.)
The early airdate applies to HBO’s three-show Sunday night lineup:
- Succession season 2 episode 4 will go online at 9/8c.
- The Righteous Gemstones s1e3 will go online at 10/9c.
- Ballers s5e2 will go online at 10:30/9:30c.
Those of us who prefer an early bedtime on work nights are grateful for the chance to watch our late-night shows on a Friday. If you choose to wait until Sunday to watch your shows, this is your warning to mute keywords on social media to avoid spoilers.
It is highly recommended that you dance around the house singing “Successioooon!” to the tune of “Tradition” from Fiddler on the Roof. We have not watched any Ballers or Gemstones and thus cannot advise you on embarrassing ways to sing about those shows.
