| Author Biography | Tim Clark is the head of the Japanese collections at the British Museum. His particular field of interest is Japanese paintings and prints of the Edo period (1600-1868) and Meiji era (1868-1912). Tim’s previous publications include New Japanese Gallery Displays: Japan from Prehistory to the Present (British Museum Press, 2006) and Kabuki Heroes on the Osaka Stage, 1780-1830 (British Museum Press, 2005). |
