If you’re looking to stream one of your favorite MLB team’s away games later this season, you might have to head to Facebook.
Facebook signed on to have the exclusive streaming rights to 25 MLB games this season, mostly weekday afternoon games (read: the games you want to watch at your desk at work anyway).

The next game in the series is this Thursday’s game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Philadelphia Phillies at 1:05pm (the first streamed game happened earlier this month). The MLB is a bit tight-lipped on which games will be available but plans to announce them during the season, but all games are streamed directly to the league’s Facebook page.
In addition to the actual live game broadcast, it’s also offering on-demand highlights packages for every regular season game as well as Club-specific weekly recap packages for all 30 MLB teams.
So, even if you don’t watch that Giants or Yankees game live via Facebook during the week, you can still catch up on the weekend via Facebook.
The deal represents an increase over what the MLB offered last year on the platform. Last year Facebook offered 20 live games during the season but they aired at the same time as the participating team’s local television broadcast. This year the games, which will happen mostly on Wednesday afternoons, are available via Facebook Watch on the MLB’s Facebook page exclusively.
