X-VPN is one of those VPN service provider that has the highest server count i.e. currently offering 5000+ servers.
It is no doubt on the expensive side, but it does not keep usage logs and that’s really matters. The company is based in Hong Kong and is out of 14 eyes jurisdiction.
It is a product of Free Connected Limited and it is their aim to protect online privacy and security of internet users.
If you happen to get an affordable service at a better price, you can try either PureVPN or Surfshark.

My Rating Criteria
Here you will find a list of factors that I will perform X-VPN review:
Pricing – How much does X-VPN cost?
According to X-VPN review, I found that its price was too expensive. It offers two types of pricing plans. These are listed below:

As you can see, the prices are way too high. You can get even better features at a very low price with PureVPN or Surfshark.
It has a 7-days money-back guarantee.
Payment Methods
These are the payment methods offered by X-VPN:
- PayPal
- VISA, MasterCard, OneCard
- Gift Cards
- Advcash (Epese, Payeer, EPAY)
- CoinPayments (Bitcoin etc)
Security – Encryption & features
X-VPN uses 256-bit encryption which is the highest level of encryption in the VPN industry. It is the same algorithm adopted by the US government to secure their data.
It is impossible for anyone to decrypt your internet traffic when this encryption is turned on.
Jurisdiction –Is it located in a 5-eyes country?
X-VPN operates from Hong Kong, which is a safe country in terms of online privacy and does not fall under 5, 9, or 14 eyes country.
The country has user-friendly internet laws for netizens.
You can view every VPNs Jurisdiction in our guide to learn more if they are a part of 5, 9, or 15 eyes countries.
Servers
X-VPN is one of the fewest VPN services that offer 5000+ servers globally. This means, you can choose tons of IPs and connect to any part of the world.
It does have obfuscated servers that unblock website from countries that have extreme online restrictions.
Speed – How fast is X-VPN?
The internet speed for X-VPN is just average. I connected to their German server to check for its speed.
Here is my current internet speed without a VPN i.e. around 25 Mbps

While connecting it to the German server, the VPN speed was 11.03 Mbps

Here you see a speed decline of 58%, which is just average.
It couldn’t be termed as bad because I have seen much worse speed than this.
If you need a VPN for faster streaming you can always refer to our Speed Test guide.
Streaming –Does it work with Netflix?
Its website claimed that it did unblock Netflix that is why I performed this test. Yes, it did unblock US Netflix when I tried multiple US servers.

First, it did not unblock Netflix, but then I changed US servers and bingo! It did.
Here are the VPNs that unblock Netflix easily in 2019. X-VPN also unblock videos that are available on Kodi.
It is a free streaming player that shows Movies and Live TV content.
In fact, I have compiled a list of best VPN service for Kodi that works extraordinary well with fast speed.
Torrenting
Yes, Torrenting happens to work best with X-VPN. You can connect to its dedicated torrenting servers that will help you keep your original IP address anonymous.
On the other hand, the service also follows DMCA guidelines and condones illegal downloading of the copyrighted material.
Leaks – Does it leak IP, DNS & WebRTC?
I connected X-VPN to Finland’s server and tested for my IP address with IPleak.org. It did pass all the leak test.
Here are the test results:
IP Test

There are a lot more VPNs that passed IP leak test, you can check it out on our detailed IP Leak guide.
DNS Test

WebRTC Test

Virus Test
I scanned X-VPN Windows file from Virus Total. The file contained 3 Trojan viruses that could clearly damage your computer internally.
Here are the test results:

As soon as you download this file, it could start collecting your data, monitor your activities and what not.
I would definitely not recommend you to download windows app.
Trustworthiness – Logs and customer support
X-VPN stores connection logs, but in no way they store or share usage logs. Directly quoted from their privacy policy they state:
“We do not store your original IP address which means we can not share it to anyone no matter what happened.”
This means, even if the government asks the company to share users’ information, they will have nothing to give them.
Here is the information that they do collect:
- Registration date
- Email Address
- Server you connected
- Connection time stamps
- Network type
- Data usage
- Geographics (only city-level)
- IP Address (deleted after 5 minutes)
The last one is a bit critical but it only lasts for 5 minutes so no harms done.
Customer Support
X-VPN has a decent customer support. It has 24/6 live chat and a FAQs section to find all your answers.
You can also contact their email address at [email protected] which is not a good option when you have a live chat support.
You can perceive its help center like a FAQ section that provides answers related to VPN related questions.

Compatibility – Apps and supported devices
X-VPN is compatible with following devices:
- Windows
- Mac
- Android
- iOS
- Linux
- Router

X-VPN has a Chrome extension as well. It is also compatible with gaming consoles and streaming devices such as PS4, Xbox, and Apple TV.
App Experience
During the X –VPN review, I found the provider quite efficient and equal to the task.
This is because the installation process is simple and the app is easy to use. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process since I downloaded and downloaded the Windows app within minutes.
In addition, I connected to my favorite server in no time.

Final Verdict
Yes, I would recommend using X-VPN.
X-VPN is one of those VPNs that is very underrated despite its extraordinary features. It easily unblocks US Netflix, providers highes-level of encryption, and does not keep usage logs.
It is on the expensive side, but look at the server count it is offering 5,000+ in over 50 locations. That is something very impressive.
The speed is a bit average, but that is something you will need to compromise.
Overall, this is a good VPN and I recommend it.
